About the Journal

Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR) works to provide the electronic and paper publication of high-quality scholarly papers in all areas of artificial intelligence. It is becoming a new venue for academic research of artificial intelligence field through supporting the growing needs of artificial intelligence community.

JAIR aims to employ rapid submission and reviewing process for efficient deep interactions among authors, reviewers, and editors. All published JAIR papers are available online.

Scope

JAIR seeks constructive original papers in all areas of artificial intelligence including but not limited to:

  • Novel theoretical algorithms together with empirical validation;

  • Insights into the principle of intelligence which guide the design of novel intelligence systems;

  • Analyses of the advantages and disadvantages of existing artificial intelligence to induce better successors;

  • New artificial intelligence tracks with theoretical and practical values;

  • New metrics for evaluating the performance of intelligence systems.

Article types

Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication:

Original high-quality research and review papers (preferably no more than 20 double line spaced manuscript pages, including tables and figures).
